Yamuna Basin Organization
Chief Engineer, YBO is responsible for
- 1. Observation of hydrological and hydrometeorological data and flood forecasting in Uttar Pradesh (partly), Himachal Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan
- 2. Surveys, investigations and preparation of DPR of multipurpose & hydro-electric projects in Uttaranchal and Nepal
- 3. Co-ordination of works of CWC in Nepal and Bhutan
- 4. Monitoring of schemes under general monitoring, AIBP, CAD Programme and restoration of water bodies
- 5. Apraisal of medium irrigation projects in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
Organizational Structure
Chief Engineer, YBO is assisted by Superintending Engineer (C), Director, M&A Directorate, Jaipur, Director, Monitoring, Agra, Superintending Engineer, Hydrological Observation Circle, Noida, Superintending Engineer, Planning Circle, Faridabad and Director, Nepal & Bhutan Coordination Directorate to discharge his duties.
Nepal & Bhutan Coordination (N&BC) Directorate is responsible for, coordination work related to Indo-Nepal and Indo-Bhutan projects within CWC and with MoWR, MEA, GSI, Survey of India, GFCC, CEA, Indian Embassies in Nepal & Bhutan, CWPRS and other concerned organizations on behalf of Central Water Commission and processing of cases relating to visits of officials to Nepal and Bhutan project works.
