Teesta Basin Organization
Teesta Basin Organization (TBO), Siliguri, West Bengal TBO is responsible for
- 1. Surveys, investigations and preparation of DPR of hydro-electric projects and hydrological and hydrometeorological observations in the Teesta & Rangit basins in Sikkim
- 2. Consultancy works for rehabilitation of Mini/Micro H.E. Projects and other works in Bhutan
- 3. Monitoring of schemes under general monitoring, AIBP, CAD Programme and restoration of water bodies and
- 4. Appraisal of medium irrigation projects in Sikkim and West Bengal.
Organizational Structure
Chief Engineer, TBO, Siliguri is assisted by Superintending Engineer (C), Siliguri, Director, Monitoring Directorate, Kolkata and Superintending Engineer, Investigation Circle at Gangtok to discharge his duties. The organization chart is depicted below
